6-year-old murder victim well known for her faith at Palm City church

— It’s human nature to search for a glimmer of faith in the face of death. In the case of 6-year-old Makayla Sitton, her family didn’t have to search far.

Before she was shot to death in her bed on Thanksgiving night, Makayla was a fixture at her Palm City church. Everyone at Calvary Chapel Palm City knew the little girl with the thick dark hair and voracious appetite for reading.
